The 2013 Legislation Session has just come to a close. It has been an extraordinarily productive and exciting one. We passed some truly historic bills in these 120 days, including bills to accelerate the economy, increase renewable energy, improve the election process, authorize civil unions, propose sustainable school finance, improve criminal justice, further civil rights, promote wild land fire safety and many other bills to protect families and children.
Altogether, the General Assembly heard 613 bills. Of those 613 bills we sent 441 bills to Governor John Hickenlooper’s office to be signed into law, and 91 percent of those bills were passed with bipartisan support. I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to email me with your thoughts and opinions throughout the legislative session. I always appreciate your feedback.
